some quality time with Sherie Muijs…

Ah Sherie Muijs, I get a bit cross when I need to take the shirt to the dry cleaner and I can’t wear it, but the thrill of getting my silk baby back clean and pressed does wonders to my day (don’t get me wrong, I love the ritual of drycleaning). I am seriously in love with the midnight navy silk gorgeousness. Thank you for being so finicky and fussy with your detailing. You make me feel great. That is Sherie above.. she has her label for a wee while but last year she took the plunge to specialise in just shirts.. a SHIRTMAKER! She has done really well stocking in some fabulous stores, including ours..! She also has a beautiful blog.

Our favourite shirt maker answers a pop quiz from Father Rabbit. There is no mistaking her commitment to the Rabbit.
How Father Rabbitty are you?….
Thin or Thick Pancakes?
Thin
Cold side of the pillow, What does this mean to you?
A good nights sleep.
Top Sheet?
Of course!
Washing Must Dos?
Separate into lights, darks, colours, sports and delicates. It’s time consuming but most definitely a must-do. And that’s just the washing process! I’m quite particular about what must lay flat to dry and how things are to be hung. It’s important to take care to ensure things last.
Best Fatherly advice handed down to you…
There’s not a road that doesn’t have a bump in it.
Does anyone in your life share the same or similar philosophy as Father Rabbit?
I have a couple of girlfriends who share with me the appreciation for ironed tea-towels, wooden clothing pegs and decanting pantry items into glass jars.
What do you get hung up about?
Clothes not on the appropriate hanger or folded correctly. My husband had to learn this fairly quickly!
What needs to be just right in your life?
The way I take my tea. China teacup, milk no sugar, not too strong nor too weak. Just right.
Room temperature needs to be just right too. Being Winter, I have the heater on and the window open. It’s just the right balance between being warm while having fresh air and feeling the breeze.
Sherie’s Favourite Father Rabbit products are…
I use Grown products daily! I love how it smells, how it feels on, the packaging and of course that it’s organic. Although slightly biased, as the creators behind Grown are family, this facial kit is a favourite and will be coming with me while traveling later this year.
We used this duvet/pillow set for a photoshoot last year and remember struggling to bring myself to return it. It’s the perfect grey and deliciously soft. Sadly this item still remains on my wishlist…
Kitchen Recipes Book:
My Mum, and my Mum’s mum, have a well loved recipe book {with pages turned yellow} of their own, which I hope to inherit one day. In the same light, I too hope to fill this little lady with recipes of meals filled with memories, served on the family table that might become a treasured item in generations…to come.

Anything bothering you that Father Rabbit could fix?:
Yes, restocking those mugs with the wooden saucer that I sadly missed out on!
