Artist in Residence: Bayley Collins (Birdinabunnysuit x)
birdinabunnysuit is an Auckland based Art + Design label created by Bayley Collins. The work centers around small collages inspired by collections of found images. Each piece is a one off. Bayley started birdinabunnysuit in late 2009 after making a small collage of an owl with a rabbit’s body. Her partner asked what it was and she replied “well….I guess it’s a bird in a bunny suit”. We really enjoy her work, so we commissioned Bayley to do our first artist impression of Father Rabbit and our tea towels and cards. 
We asked Bayley what her three favourite Father Rabbit products are:
Everyday Notebook. I’m addicted to stationary! 
Small Glass Lantern. These would be stunning filled with candles hanging from trees (I just wrote that one down in my wedding ideas book) 
The Baby Bounce. I remember having one of these for my dolls when I was little and I’d love to have one when I have kids. 
What is your most treasured fatherly advice?
1. always keep a pen in your pocket
2. always have a spare pair of socks
What in your life has to be ‘just right’?
I can’t stand waking up in a mess. Everything has to be in its place before I go to sleep! and I’m a true believer in karma. Send good things out into the world and you will receive good things back.
