Gardening tools and our new garden.

This week we have introduced some new gardening tools, gloves and kneelers to our garden selection. Timely really as we have been replanting the front of our house. Actually the first time we have planted against the house (we have the hedge as port wine magnolia and it is doing very well) The house has just been freshly painted white, so it means we can now put a garden in front of it, there was no point before. We live in a weatherboard home so we have chosen to put in front of it Camelia Sasanqua ‘Setsugekka’, Rosemary, Lavender Major and Parsley. I’ve tried to keep it quite consistent with symmetrical elements, but the lavender and herbs dot between the camelia. I will post photos in a couple of weeks of the result. Still a bit messy and muddy. I love this time of year for gardening, it is not too hot. Nick and I are very amateur gardeners and have made plenty of mistakes through the years. This time I hope we have nailed it.

His Garden
Simple, useful, practical. Lavender, Hydrangeas, Mop top Robinias, Liquid Amber Gumballs, Cherry Prunus. Stepping stone pavers, washing in the breeze, old sheds, soft grass, raised vege gardens… the older I get.. simple things in the garden make my heart swell. So the prediction is by the time I am 60… I might just have this dream garden that is in my mind. This is what it will look like.. Thanks for giving me the direction Father Rabbit x
