Father Rabbit Loves: LeeAnn Yare

Writer and stylist LeeAnn Yare is a big fan of Father Rabbit, a regular ”borrower” of Father Rabbit products for her wonderful photoshoots and styled homes.
Not keen to be the master of just one special thing, LeeAnn is also an international pilot for Air New Zealand flying every second month to the Australia and the Pacific… allowing her to keep an eye on the gorgeous shopping and style haunts across the Tasman.
She regular works for Your Home & Garden, Urbis, Homestyle, Viva along with Inside Out, Real Living and Home Beautiful Australia.
She has a crazy facebook page where you can check out photos and inspiration from interiors she loves.
Here is some of LeeAnn’s styling work.

Styling by LeeAnn Yare, photography by Wendy Fenwick at Flash Studios. This image is all about how a collection of vessels with a few pretty blooms can look amazing. They don’t have to be expensive, just interesting. Even a group of recycled bottles and jars that haven’t cost a thing can look beautiful.

Styling by LeeAnn Yare photography by Vanessa Wu. This image combines two of my favourite things, Kapiti ice-cream and pretty vintage items.

Best Fatherly advice handed down to you…
Why settle for something mediocre when you can aim for the top of your field. This applies to everything in life, be prepared to work hard, take a risk, and you have the ability to achieve everything you want in life.
Does anyone in your life share the same or similar philosophy as Father Rabbit?
My husband is the closest person to Father Rabbit that I know…he’s always on at me to finish what I have started, stop cutting corners, and to tidy up my mess.
What do you get hung up about?
Not too much these days, I used to be the perfect house keeper pre-children, making sure our home looked like styled pages of a magazine 24/7. Now with two wee boys I have learnt to be more relaxed about it.
What needs to be just right in your life?
Not too much, my life is always in a state of constant change so I just do the best I can, as long as my family is fed and healthy nothing really phases me too much.
3 Favourite Father Rabbit Products:
Yellow wooden ruler. I am obsessed with yellow and anything with letters and numbers, especially measuring devices. I love how you can extend it into different shape options, I usually display rulers as an object, sometimes in a jar or other vessel, or just by themselves. And yellow is the new black. And it’s cheap as chips.
Birdinabunnysuit cards, particularly the Owls. This was the first card I bought from this fabulous range and I loved it so much I popped it into a frame. The linen tea towels I love just as much.
Box on Castors. Love practical storage that is multi purpose, I have loads of wooden boxes on castors in our home, from magazines to kids shoes under the bed they are practical and look cool.
